Background

I affirm character John Kinsella’s question in the classic movie, Field of Dreams. Iowa is pretty heavenly to me. With its stunning landscapes and down-to-earth folk, it’s hard to beat, and it’s where I was raised. 

I studied Political Science and Religion as a Hay Scholar at Carthage College. Focusing specifically on Public Law and Judicial Politics, these studies fueled my love for justice and excellence as a part of the every day. I graduated summa cum laude with an award for “Outstanding Senior in Political Science.” 

Who am I?

I currently reside in Holland, Michigan with my wonderful husband Lucas, a fellow Carthage College alum. We currently have four children and counting. (Ask me why we need more foster parents in Michigan!) 

I am an Ambassador with the West Coast Chamber of Commerce, a member of Inforum, and I formerly served on the board of directors for the Noon Rotary Club of Holland. Networking and continuing education enhance my ability to serve people and promote growth in all areas of our community.

I love learning ballet as an adult, and going for hikes with my Doberman-Lab mix Dublin.
